Environment and CSR

Rom has a big responsibility for securing the esthetical and architectural value of our buildings as well as a significant environmental and a social responsibility.

As Norway’s largest interchangeable hubs developer, Rom has a big responsibility for securing the esthetical and architectural value of our buildings. We also have a significant environmental responsibility.

Rom has an important role in moving traffic from road to rail, and as a designer of important public transport hubs, the company has a special social responsibility. Rom also emphasizes Energy management and Energy efficiency. One of Rom’s most important environmental contributions is reduction of energy consumption in our buildings. Rom is a member of the Green Building Alliance.

 SOS Children’s Villages
Since 2008 Rom has been involved as a house builder in SOS Children’s Villages in Siteki, Swaziland. The Rom House, offering orphans a safe home, was completed last year, together with 11 other family homes. In 2010, 120 more children will receive a new home.

Rom for Art
Rom for art is our contribution to interesting artistic experiences for travellers. Our exhibitions and events in Oslo and Trondheim have received tremendous attention, both in the media and among the general public.
